Day to day

Less repeated explaining, more downloads

People who find your app want to know what it does, find the right store link and know who to ask for help. Without a page, all of that gets scattered.

Without minisitee

  • The store link gets lost in posts, stories and messages
  • The features are explained again to every person
  • Support questions arrive scattered across several networks
  • There is no place to show the screens and the video

With minisitee

  • App Store and Google Play buttons in a single link
  • Features and screens explained on the page itself
  • Support form and WhatsApp, with answers in Configure
  • Screenshot gallery and video to see before downloading

Guide

How to build a mobile app mini site: from the first tap to the download

People landing on an app's mini site want to know three things: what it is for, what it looks like and where to download it. Order your tools that way.

One sentence about the problem the app solves

Instead of describing technology, write the use: "Track household spending in two taps". Put it in a Title and, right below, a two-line Text saying who the app is for. Avoid download counts, ratings or awards you cannot prove. If the app is not published yet, say so clearly and pair it with a Countdown or a Form for interested people.

Show the screens before explaining everything

A Gallery with three or four screenshots, in the order a person would use the app, beats a list of features. Add a short demo Video, around 30 to 60 seconds, showing only the main task. Use the Highlights tool for three real differentiators, without repeating what the images already show.

Download buttons in the right place

Use the Link tool for the App Store and another for Google Play, with labels like "Download for iPhone" and "Download for Android". Place them right after the screens and repeat them at the end of the mini site, for people who have already decided. A QR code helps when someone is on a computer and wants to open it on their phone, or when you promote on printed material.

Support and questions live in a fixed corner

Reserve a block of Frequently asked questions for what users really ask: whether the app works offline, which phones it supports, how to recover an account. For support, use the Form, with fields for the device model and a description of the problem. Messages arrive in Configure. If you also answer on WhatsApp, include the button and state your reply hours.

Best practices

Best practices for an app mini site

An app mini site has a short job: take the person from tapping a link to the right store button, on the right phone, with enough trust to install.

The app cycle: pre-launch, launch and updates

The mini site changes with the phase. Before publishing in the stores, use a Title, a Countdown to the expected date and an interested-users Form.

Tool order and the first 3

On the free plan only the first 3 tools show.

  • 1. Title with the main function
  • 2. Link: App Store
  • 3. Link: Google Play
  • 4. Screenshot Gallery and Video
  • 5. Frequently asked questions and support

Button labels and QR code

Write labels that name the system: "Download for iPhone (iOS 15 or later)" and "Download for Android (version 8 or later)". State only the minimum version you tested.

Screenshots: how many, in what order, of what

The Gallery takes 1 to 4 columns and up to 20 photos; for an app, use 4 to 6 vertical screenshots in two columns, in real usage order: first launch, main screen, the key action, the result, settings.

  • Home or onboarding screen
  • Main screen in use
  • The key action (create, log, order)
  • The result (report, confirmation)
  • Settings and privacy

Highlights and "how to start" without jargon

Use Highlights for 3 to 4 differentials phrased as use: "Log an expense in 2 taps", not "optimized interface". Then a numbered List of 3 steps: download, create account (email, phone or social login), do the first task.

Technical FAQ: price, version, offline, data

Use Frequently asked questions for what blocks installation.

  • Price: free, subscription, in-app purchase
  • Offline: what works without internet
  • Compatibility: system and minimum version
  • Account: login, multiple devices, deletion
  • Privacy: what is collected and why

Support and contact form

Say how to ask for help and how fast you usually reply, only if you keep it.

  • Name: short text, required
  • Email: email type, required
  • Device: single choice (iPhone, Android, Other)
  • What happened: long text, required
  • Does it always happen?: single choice (Yes, Sometimes, Once)

Measure without promising: where the click comes from

Installs are measured by the stores, not by the mini site. Compare, in the stores, activity on the days you shared the mini site, and use a single-choice "How did you hear about us" in the interested-users form.

Your app can have a mini site today

Add the store links, show the screens and keep support one tap away for people who are just getting started.
